Destruction of habitat, introduced species,
and pesticides are all leading to a decline in invertebrate populations,
some to extinction. To protect these endangered
species, we look at all avenues for success. We advocate for species
protection by the federal government through the Endangered Species
Act; we work with landowners and land trusts to immediately protect
habitat; we provide technical materials and training on how state and
federal land managers can protect habitat; and we educate the general
public and decision-makers through our educational materials and media
outreach.
Currently, we are working to protect many species of Beetles, Bees, Butterflies, Flies, Mollusks, Shore Bugs and Worms.
