This June, the Xerces Society is excited to announce our new peer-to-peer fundraising challenge! We are inviting you to join us in supporting pollinator conservation – and win some great prizes! Peer-to-peer fundraising empowers individuals like you to leverage their passion and networks for a cause they believe in. To participate, you organize a fundraiser for your community, and together raise donations as a group.

This challenge will run from June 1st through the end of Pollinator Week on June 23rd, after which we will award prizes! Join us in making a difference for pollinators. Together, we can make a real impact!

Five ideas to inspire your pollinator fundraiser

Your fundraiser can take many different forms! Here are five ideas to get you started. Use them as-is, or go where inspiration takes you!

  • Pollinator Poetry Slam: Organize a poetry slam focused on pollinators. Participants can sign up to share their original poems about bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Supporters can donate to attend the event or vote for their favorite poems.
  • Sing for the Bees: Unleash your inner rockstar, host a karaoke event and turn applause into donations. Donations can be pledged for songs. As you sing, you can create a chorus of support for pollinator conservation.
  • Movie Night: Host a movie night featuring documentaries or films about pollinators and their importance. Participants can donate to attend the screening, and you can provide additional information about pollinator conservation efforts during the event.
  • Party for Pollinators: Sometimes all people need to inspire them is a good old-fashioned party! Host a party for pollinators with multiple opportunities for guests to donate.
  • Pollinator Trivia Night: Organize a trivia night focused on pollinators. Prepare pollinator-themed trivia questions and offer fun prizes for the winners.

While these ideas are extra creative, you can keep your fundraiser easy and low-key. Simply creating your online fundraiser and sharing it with friends and family is so helpful in raising awareness and support for pollinators.
