Xerces Events

Due to the coronavirus, we will not be holding or participating in any in-person events during the pandemic. We will resume in-person events as soon as it is safe and appropriate. In the meantime, we are committed to presenting as many events online as we can, including a new series of Xerces-hosted webinars. (Webinars will be close captioned and recordings added to our YouTube channel.)

The list of events on this page will be updated regularly. You can also find updates on social media and via our e-newsletter. If you have questions, please contact Liz Robertson at [email protected]

Please note that we are still accepting in-person speaker requests for 2021 events, although this may change depending on public health guidance. In the meantime, we can provide talks through platforms such as Zoom and Google Hangouts. Please fill out our speaker request form here. For questions regarding the speaker request form contact Rachel Dunham at [email protected]

October 31 - November 3
Hybrid In-Person/Virtual Event
Denver, CO

Join Scott Hoffman-Black, Sarina Jepsen, and Angela Laws of the Xerces Society for Entomology 2021.  This event will be a hybrid meeting with both in-person and virtual presentations as part of our scientific program. The Annual Meeting will combine four days of an in-person meeting with 3 months of virtual content available for all registrants to access from October 20, 2021 through January 31, 2022, allowing us to reach members all over the world, regardless of travel.  Xerces staff will be giving three talks as a part of this event:  Using applied science, outreach and education, policy and advocacy--A holistic approach to insect conservation; Variability in federal and state laws impedes efforts to address insect declines across the United States; and Climate smart pollinator plantings, corridors, and carbon sequestration:  Using nature-based climate solutions to conserve biodiversity.
