Rachael Winfree

Rachael is a professor in the Department of Ecology, Evolution and Natural Resources at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Her research focuses on pollination ecology and the response of native bee species to land use and climate change. She is one of the most highly cited researchers in the world in the ecology and environmental field and her work has been published in leading scientific journals including Science, PNAS, Ecology Letters, Ecology, and Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Rachael received her Ph.D. in ecology & evolutionary biology from Princeton University in 2001 and her B.A. from Dartmouth College in 1990. Prior to joining the Board of Directors, Rachael served as a scientific advisor to the Xerces Society.
