Join the Pacific Northwest Bumble Bee Atlas for a field day near Winthrop, WA! In-person training events are a great way to learn how to use your insect net, collect data according to project methods, practice identifying and photographing bees, and meet fellow participants. Registration is required to attend, so be sure to sign up.
This event will take place outdoors. Come prepared to spend the day outside. Close-toed shoes, long pants, sunscreen, and water are recommended. There is an outhouse located at the trailhead.
We will meet at Chickadee Trailhead, about a 15 minute drive west of Winthrop. From there we will likely drive a short ways up a dirt Forest Service road. No parking pass is required at the trailhead.
